In the international plant engineering business ASME Code Section IX is the most often used standard for the qualification of welding procedures, welders and welding operators as well as brazing procedures and brazers. This workshops exclusively covers the topic of welding and familiarizes the participants with qualification of welding procedures and welders as required by the ASME Code Section IX.
By means of practical exercises the basic requirements of ASME Code Section IX will be demonstrated. During the workshop the participants gain the necessary knowledge to independently prepare and/or review Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Welder/Welding Operator/Performance Qualifications (WPQ/WOPQ)). The participants are invited to take an active part in this workshop.
