The programme offers classroom instruction and extensive hands-on training that covers the requirements of national and internationally recognized codes.

Processes offered are;

  • Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
  • Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)
  • Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW)
  • Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)
  • Submerged Arc Welding (SAW)
The SMAW process is the entry level course and is run for 4 months. There are no prerequisites for enrolling for the programme.

The other processes, GTAW, FCAW, GMAW and SAW are offered as a single 6-month programme, and participants must have obtained the SMAW Certification before enrolling for this course.
